Biostimulation for the eye area in São Paulo

Who it is for

How I do it

There are several types of under-eye circles, and the first step is understanding which one you have. At the consultation, I look at the skin, the color and the contour of the area. If the skin under your eyes crinkles when you smile, as if it were dehydrated, with a somewhat papery look, what your case may be missing is not another cream, but hydration from the inside out.

For this type of under-eye circle, I use a tissue bioregenerator made specifically for the eye area, one of the few that can be applied to such a delicate area. It helps improve the glow and texture of the skin and gives the eyes a more rested look. In younger patients, the same reasoning applies to crow's feet: together with botulinum toxin, a bioregenerator made for the area helps with hydration and with the quality and firmness of the skin. It is one of my favorite treatments for the eye area.

It does not replace filler. When the under-eye area is hollow, with a marked groove between the eyelid and the cheek, what is missing is structure, and hyaluronic acid may be the right indication, sometimes combined with biostimulation. The treatment is done in the office, usually over more than one session a few weeks apart, and the result shows up gradually. That is Beleza de Precisão: treating the right cause, without excess.

What can happen

The skin around the eyes is thin and reacts easily. After the treatment, redness, swelling, a burning feeling, tenderness and small bruises are common and usually improve within a few days. Improvement is gradual, usually requires more than one session and varies from person to person. A tissue bioregenerator does not treat every type of under-eye circle: when the cause is a deep groove or excess eyelid skin, the indication may be different. That is why the evaluation comes before any needle, and pregnancy and breastfeeding should be mentioned at the consultation.
